Rental Car Center (RCC)
With so much to see and do in the Atlanta area it is not surprising that the city is the fourth largest rental car market in the country. In fact, more than 2 million passengers rent vehicles each year at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
To meet customers' current and future needs, the City of Atlanta and the Airport began planning for a new remote off-site car facility as a part of the overall Capital Improvement Program (CIP) adopted and implemented in 2000. Construction of the rental car center began in late 2006.
The 10-year, currently $6 billion-plus Capital Improvement Program supports the Airport’s overall mission by planning, designing, building and maintaining facilities to meet projected growth in domestic and international travel. CIP projects reduce flight delays, increase airfield and terminal capacity, enhance overall customer service, and substantially contribute to Georgia’s economic development.
Today, Hartsfield-Jackson’s state-of-the-art rental car center is complete and open for business. The new rental car center houses all Airport rental car companies and their associated operations, including customer service, administrative offices, ready/return parking, fueling and maintenance facilities.
