NEPA
At Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, a proactive approach is taken
for the National Environmental Policy Act, or NEPA, planning. We focus on navigating
this process in a manner sensitive to the needs of the environment, the community,
and the airport. We know that planning goes beyond the paper and pencil. We reach
out to the public and agencies through scoping sessions. While scoping is many
times optional, it can prove quite valuable in instituting a proactive approach
to NEPA activities.
