Paper Products in Restrooms
Given the high levels of passenger and aircraft activity at Hartsfield-Jackson,
as well as the size of our Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC),
we recognize that opportunities exist to minimize waste.
We have made tremendous progress in source reduction using some innovative
techniques associated with paper products in terminal restrooms.
By switching to automatic dispense paper towels from folded ones,
approximately 240,000 pounds of paper are saved annually. Another innovation
is through changing types of toilet paper used to coreless rolls.
By using coreless rolls, approximately 140,000 pounds of paper are saved annually.
