Retail renaissance keeps evolving
By Roishina C. Henderson

A new era of retail keeps evolving at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The Airport’s Concessions program recently welcomed more new stores to the Atrium: Brooks Brothers, Brighton Collectibles, Drugs & More/AeroClinic and Beyond the Reef (a Georgia Aquarium store). The stores offer customers high-quality merchandise and help make the Airport much more of a destination.

The stores, on the south side of the Atrium, have turned many heads with their beauty and sophistication. Also new to the Airport and located inside the Atrium are Z-Market convenience store, Starbucks Coffee, Simply Books and Atlanta Magazine’s HOME store.

This second phase of the Airport’s retail renaissance continues to reveal a barrage of new stores that include shops with creative, Atlanta-based concepts and fresh approaches.

“The Atrium program was designed primarily for concepts that meet passengers’ core needs, but we were also looking for a strong sense of place,” said Concessions Director John Cugasi. “The newest stores clearly fulfill passengers’ basic needs, while Atlanta Magazine HOME and Beyond the Reef aquarium stores provide an exceptional sense of place. Additionally, the Brooks Brothers and Brighton stores provide excellent, high-quality shopping options, which we believe will delight travelers.”

Looking for something to read while you wait to board your flight? Passengers now can visit Shellis News near Gates T3 and A22 and Newsbeat Atlanta near Gate A11 to peruse the newspapers, magazines, books and souvenirs.
