Musicians:
Submissions for Performances

Throughout the year the Airport Art Program books professional musicians to perform in the Airport's Atrium and on International Concourse E. Sound reinforcement is provided for most performances which typically covers two forty-five minute sets. Performances vary and include anything from classical to jazz to the diverse range of world music. Musicians interested in performing at Hartsfield-Jackson are requested to submit a CD and performance resume. Approved musicians will be placed on a registry and considered for future bookings. Call 404-382-2250 or email Katherine.marbury@atlanta-airport.com with questions.

Visual Artists:
Atrium Gallery Exhibitions

Visual Artist SubmissionsRotating exhibits of contemporary art have been presented in the Airport's Atrium Gallery since 1997. Over that period passengers have enjoyed exhibits covering a wide range of artistic styles and subject matters by local, national and international artists. Interested artists are invited to submit their work for consideration at any time however exhibits are scheduled a year in advance. Currently this is the only opportunity for visual artists with the Airport Art Program.

The Atrium Gallery is located in the heart of the Airport's Main Terminal and consists of four large columns that are each surrounded by four 4' by 8' panels. One panel is reserved for an artist statement leaving fifteen panels for hanging artwork. Exhibits run approximately six to eight weeks with the artist being responsible for delivering their work ready to install at 10 p.m. on the designated night. Artists receive a $500 honorarium to help cover the expense of developing and delivering the work. A full color postcard is created by the Art Program to promote the exhibit.

The criteria used to make the selections include the quality of work, how it is presented, scale and theme. Larger work seems to read better throughout the space but many exhibits have been successful using multiple works (two per panel side).

To submit a proposal, please send us a packet or e-mail with images of the art you wish to display. Slides, prints, a disc with JPEGs or referral to a Web site showing your work are all acceptable formats for the images. In your submission, also include your full contact information, a resume or a curriculum vitae, and a brief statement about your work. In the statement, be sure to discuss the size of the art and how it should be presented. We will notify you of your selection status after we review the materials. If you would like your packet returned, please include an appropriately sized self-addressed stamped envelope. Call 404-382-2250 with questions.

Email your proposal to katherine.marbury@atlanta-airport.com or mail it to:
